Samples and Stuff

Below, you'll find some samples and stuff. The reason for the "stuff" part is because while I can share some full documents and publications with you, others I can't. Technical manuals, e-training courses, some speeches and presentations aren't legally mine to share.

Further down, are some cover stories and feature articles I've written. But first...

Here are some links to press releases I've written

Releases

And to some releases I've edited or rewritten. Those can also be found by typing my name into Google, so I feel free sharing them with you.

F&M (Fabricating and Metalworking) mentions

I'll put up some links to some podcasts. I'm not in them, but I wrote the scripts.

You may need to open an account to listen to these.

My screenplay, Paganini, has received some acclaim in several contests. I'll include those mentions here. If you'd like to read the screenplay, or buy the screenplay, let me know and I'll get a copy to you.

And my short screenplay The Girl Who Says Everything I Do, was a finalist in the 2019 Chicago Screenplay Awards.

Below are the links. Some will open .pdf files, some won't. (The ones that do, have a link at the bottom of the page.) You'll see some leaps in technology, from welding to prosthetic legs. I'm not an expert, or wasn't, in these areas. But I spoke with experts,  forced them to explain the technology and its impact to me until I understood it as well as they did, and only then did I start attempting to explain it to others.

Yet, all these areas have one thing in common, as boring or technical as they may initially seem, they affect people's lives--their means of livelihood, quality of life, the ability to do one's job easier, better, faster.

And the other thing they have in common is that I wrote them, though the bylines might indicate otherwise. That's the nature of public relations writing. I took all of the welding photos, including the cover shots. The Stratosphere cover photo had a photographer assigned, and I used his photos for some other publications. This was one of mine. He was more willing to tie on and hang over the edge. I used longer lenses.

There's more, but this should give you an idea. Honestly, I picked these because they were handy, but I think they're representative
